The Scorpion 2600VS is the first and only 7″ hand-held grinder built specifically for concrete, with true variable speed control from 2,700 to 6,200 RPM, a range no other tool in this class offers. Dial it up for aggressive grinding, or dial it down for precision work near edges, joints, repairs, or speed-sensitive tooling. One tool, full control, exactly the speed the job demands.
A 15 Amp motor and convertible dust shroud prep concrete for coatings while keeping dust locked down when connected to a vacuum. Compact and hand-held, it reaches edges, tight spots, and under fixtures that walk-behind grinders can’t touch a perfect as a standalone machine on smaller jobs or the essential edge tool on larger projects.

It's the first of it's kind as far as being a full sized 15 Amp grinder that has a built in Variable Speed control.
2,700-6,200 RPM. This is No Load Speed. It slows down significantly when pressure is applied to it while grinding or polishing at the lower settings.
The dust shroud is the U.S. Saws Generation 2 Pro series. It is the best shroud in the industry (of course were a little biased) Made in USA with non marking polyurethane with a flip up front for edging. The only shrouds we can confirm that fit are the U.S. Saws models.

YES! The low RPM range is perfect for polishing with resin pads or honing with ceramics or diamonds. The high range RPM is plenty fast and powerful enough for general surface prep. Heavy duty surface prep/coating removal should be done with a single speed 15 amp grinder.
