The most innovative concrete edge grinder on the market, the TC-7 Stand-Up Edger, is designed to give the operator the feel of a handheld grinder while maintaining a comfortable upright position. A rear control lever allows the operator to adjust the grinder pitch, while the front handle allows side-to-side movement for complete control and the ability to feel the contours of the surface being ground. U.S.SAWS designed the TC-7 Edger for grinding and polishing concrete surfaces near walls and other vertical surfaces. It can also be used in open spaces where it is impractical to mobilize a large planetary. Small rooms, offices, garages, kitchens, and bathrooms are examples of where this machine will be more efficient than a large machine. On larger projects with long straight edges, nothing on the market is more efficient than this machine. This floor grinder utilizes 7″ diamond cup wheels or polishing pads to prep or polish. The TC-7 Edger features the U.S.SAWS Generation 2 dust shroud system for a clean, dust-free work environment.
1. What makes this edger different from some of the other contraptions I’ve tried that don’t work?
The biggest difference is you have control of the pitch of the grinder, front to back and side to side with a solid metal tie bar.
Another big factor is the shape of the frame so your not extending your arms out like you have to do with those other contraptions that don’t work well.
2. Is it faster than a hand grinder?
Depends on the guy running it. A small job, probably not, but on a large area, probably yes because the operator will have significantly less fatigue and stay productive longer.
3. I already have a 7″ grinder. Can I just buy the dolly?
No, the grinder mounting attachment is not designed to constantly be taken apart. You should always have a spare 7″ Hand Grinder in addition to this machine.
4. Is it easy to use?
Yes, it takes an experienced grinder operator about 10 seconds to figure it out.
5. Is the height adjustable?
No, the TC-7 is designed for an average height operator. (5’6″-6’2″)
6. Can I use it for polishing?
The TC-7 works great for polishing. Add the optional Variable speed controller to slow it down for use with resin pads.
